Amira is a Nutrition Scientist with a PhD in Human Nutrition and Metabolism. She is also a Registered Dietician, with over 20 years experience combining clinical practice, research and development, clinical trials and the translation of nutrition for innovation purposes.
Amira has both a successful research and science consulting pedigree serving global clients with an entrepreneurial mindset. She brings her sharp scientific acumen to client projects for innovation, scientific intelligence, study design and analysis, scientific translation, communication and more. She is also a published scientist with a global network in health and nutrition.
Emma Jacquier PhD,
Co-CEO Neat Science
Emma has a PhD in Public Health, an MSc in Human Nutrition and over 20 years international experience in nutrition research and innovation. She has led large-scale scientific projects in multiple geographies, and has worked in both applied and basic research. Emma has worked across multiple product categories, life-stages and also within a global business. She is experienced in R&D portfolio management, pipeline development and competitive scientific intelligence.
She has also developed and implemented broad communication and education programs in nutrition and health sciences. Emma has a creative scientific flair combined with solid experience from global CPG businesses. She is also an experienced people manager and a published scientist with an extensive KOL network .
Prof. Leonidas Karagounis

PhD in Human Nutrition and Physiology, with over 20 years of experience across industry and academia. He has developed and led scientific translation strategies in nutraceuticals within a global strategic business. Leonidas has published extensively in the field of nutrition and physiology in health & disease across the lifespan.
He is currently a Professor of Research Translation & Enterprise at the Mary MacKillop Institute for Health Research at ACU in Melbourne, and brings with him a world-leading academic network combined with promotion of business-academia partnerships.
Anton de Castro
Data Science Specialist
Antonio is a data scientist with experience in nutrition and digital health.
He has a proven track record in the field of Nutrition with over 20 peer-reviewed publications. He leads digital health projects for personalized nutrition, algorithm development for nutritional risk assessment and data-driven consumer product development.
His experience with digital projects ranges from health apps to nationwide data platforms via health registries. Antonio also worked extensively with communication/marketing teams to appropriately and responsibly develop scientifically sound and data-driven content.
Antonio is Co-Founder and Chief Data Officer of a digital transformation and analytics platform start-up. Antonio has a production driven mindset and considers all projects should be consumer-centric.
Diana Marcu, PhD
Scientific Analyst
Diana is a scientist and consultant with a PhD in Molecular Genetics. Her areas of interest and expertise lie in gut microbiota and microbiome, nutrient sensing and signalling, ageing and nutrition. Her expertise crosses from mainstream nutrition, supplements and preventative healthcare.
Diana advocates for a healthcare system focused on prevention and uses her expertise in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and nutrition to drive meaningful innovation.
In addition to nutrition science, Diana has worked on novel technologies and initiatives to improve clinical applications and advance research, while also supporting start-ups, industry and the not-for-profit sector. Diana is committed to making a positive impact on global health through collaboration and innovative solutions.
